Palmwoods is a small rural community, 10 minutes to the mountains and 20 minutes to the coast. If eating well is your passion, there are many wonderful restaurants and cafes within easy reach such as the Home Grown Cafe and the popular Rick's Garage, repurposed as an Amarican 50's diner, with big burgers and a whiskey bar upstairs. On a Thursday night and weekend lunch you'll often see a surprising array of classic cars and bikes.

The Blackall Range, just west of us runs from Maleny through to Mapleton and has some magnificent scenery, waterfalls, galleries and restaurants. To the east is the ocean, boasting some of the best beaches in Queensland. It’s great to spend a day, but ah, so nice to escape the summer crowds, and retreat to Palmwoods Eco Escape for a peaceful night's sleep.
Should you wish to simply prop here to relax, you can stroll along bush paths, gaze into bush ponds, follow the creek down gullies through native palms and towering gums. The local bird life is extensive and native animals pass through regularly.

Within close range by car is Kondallilla Falls, The Big Pineapple, Buddhist retreat Chenrezig Institute, Glasshouse Mountains, Yandina Ginger  Factory,  Noosa National Park, Underwater World, Eumundi Markets, The Australia Zoo, Ettamogah Pub and numerous other less known, but equally enjoyable attractions.
